Lavender Villa is conveniently situated less than 25 minutes from the George Airport, 25 minutes from Knysna, 8 minutes from Wilderness and 5 km from the N2.

18 km from Hoekwil, you will find George, the biggest town on the Garden Route which boasts a wonderful Mediterranean climate all year round – with temperatures seldom dropping below 10 degrees Celsius.

Linen
Walking on the endless unspoilt beaches of Wilderness. Enjoy the sun, whale-watching and swim in the Indian ocean. Salomie packs a "Happy Bag" for her guests with every conceivable item needed for a magical day at the beach!
Spoil yourselves with Spa treatments from one of the 5-star Spa's in the Wilderness area – always enjoyable!
Hiking through breathtaking natural forests.
Bird-watcher’s paradise – go birding on one of the many bird-watcher's hiking routes or visit the bird-hides.
Take a trip on the famous Outenique Choo-Tjoe train from George to Knysna. This is a magical journey through some of the most beautiful scenery in the country; past the famous Lakes district of Sedgefield, Victoria Bay, endless white beaches and the woodlands of Knysna.
Shop till you drop in Knysna – especially during some of the many festivals this scenic town has to offer. Oyster Festival – feast on oysters and champagne; Outeniqua Cheese Festival in George towards the end of July – a must for lovers of good cheese and wine!
Golfers will never get bored with no less than nine Championship courses between Plettenberg Bay and Mossel Bay. These include the Fancourt courses, Sparrebosch, Pinnacle Point, George Country Club, Ernie Els’s Oubaai, Lagoon Bay, Mossel Bay and Goose Valley...
Oudtshoorn, the capital of the Klein Karoo with its world-famous Cango Caves, ostrich farms, restaurants, KKNK festival and more, is only 60 minutes away from Lavender Villa.
Lavender Villa is the perfect location from which to explore the Hoekwil Hoopla Arts route-a circular 30 km drive through the countryside where you can meet the real artists and craftsmen and women of the area.
Picnic or take a walk at the Woodville BIG TREE - thought to be almost 800 years old, within close proximity of the Villa.
Enjoy a variety of fine foods at the Wild Oats Market just outside Sedgefield on a Saturday morning – all year round-this is something every Garden Route tourist MUST experience – the very best market in the country.
Visit the Wilderness National Park - a 2500 hectare park with its rivers, lakes, two estuaries and coastline.
Visit the famous "Map of Africa" in Wilderness Heights or drive along the scenic winding "Old road" between George and Knysna – very popular with hikers and mountain-bikers all year round.
For the wild and sporty types – the area abounds with activities and adventures-some of which include absailing, hiking, para-gliding, canoeing, mountain-biking, golfing, surfing, diving, sailing, water sports, hang-gliding, horse-riding, ferry cruises, angling, boating, dolphin and whale-watching, day art routes, riding on the Power Train up the Outeniqua mountain, day tours and every other imaginable recreational activity.
